i would like to inquire about the job profile of Income tax Inspector??????

The main job is that of tax collection. They need to ensure all individuals file their tax. Also it involves the tax paid by the individuals. Finding out the defaulters is also amongst the jobs involved. You can go into this profession if you take the commerce field. Pursuing CA would be apt.

i)Walking:1600 meters in 15 minutes
ii)Cycling:8 Km in 30 minutes

these are the physical standard which to be expected from a candidate for INCOME TAX OFFICER exam..

To become an Income Tax Officer you have to fill up the following requirements:
Eligibility For Income Tax Officer:
1. Graduation from a recognized university(in any discipline).
2. Age limits: Maximum 25 years, Minimum 18 years.
3. You have to pass out the entrance examinations of Income tax officer conducted by SSC.

The job profile of an income tax Inspector is as under-

1. To check that whether the individuals & organizations has paid their right tax within a specified period of time.
2. To check the defaulters & implies the penalty on them.

For Income Tax Inspector, no physical standards are required. They are required to become a central excise inspector.
