what are the main problems of Harijans in india?...pelase tell me what is it

There are large number of problems which Harijans face in day to day life. Some of the basic problems are:

1. Less income.

2. Sanitation problems in rural areas.

3. Health and Education problems.

4. Poverty.

5. Employment

However the Indian government is try to solve all the problems through various schemes like MNREGA, Indira Awas Yojana etc.

Essay on Various Problems Faced by Scheduled Castes – The Varna System which existed during the Vedic period, in course of time degenerated into the caste system. Since then, the Scheduled Castes who are known as ‘ Untouchables’ have been suffering from various social, religious, legal, political, economic, educational, and other disabili*ties.


For centuries they were denied political representation, legal rights, civic facilities, educational privileges and economic opportunities. During the British rule also nothing was done to uplift the Haijans and to relieve them from their bondages. Even today the Scheduled Castes are not free from problems.
