Thumbs up Re: What is the meaning of Repo Rate in Banking sector?

REPO RATE:-

When bank is in needs of money for 90 days, then bank gives his securities to rbi, & the intrest charge by rbi on the money is called repo rate .

or in simple words:- intrest charge by rbi on the amount which is taken by bank in exchange of securities.

present repo rate is 8%

good luck
