What is the minimum educational eligibility to appear for any State Eligibility Test (SET)?


I have completed Master of Science in Microbiology. Am I eligible to appear for any State Eligibility Test (SET) exam for any of the three subjects i.e. Biology, Botany or Zoology?

Eligibility Criteria for State Eligibility Test:

1. Candidates must have Master's Degree recognized by UGC.

2. Candidates have secured at least minimum 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this test.

3. Relaxation is allowed for upper age limit.

4. Final year students are appearing for this test.

5. Candidate can appear for SET in the subject of their post graduation only.

6. To apply for the SET there is no upper age limit.

7. Candidate should note that their candidature is provisional.

8. The SET agency will issue certificate to qualifying candidates only.
