Re: What is the minimum qualification required for banking?
Graduation is the basic qualification for most of the banking jobs. IBPS insists graduation as the basic qualification for clerk and P.O. For SBI clerk, pass in 12th with a minimum of 60% marks is the required qualification. Professionals in law or technology are considered for the job of Specialist Officer. Age requirements for clerical jobs range between 18 to 28 years. For P.O, age of the candidate must be between 21 and 30 years.

Re: What is the minimum qualification required for banking?
Banking Sector is growing at a rapid pace in India. This leads to good number of job opportunities for the candidates in this field.
The entry level positions in various banks are Clerks Probationary Officers The selection procedure for both these positions would involve Written Exam Interview The written exam consists of questions from the following categories Reasoning Numerical Ability General Awareness General English Computer Knowledge There is negative marking for the wrong answer questions in the written exam. One should secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the categories of the written exam to get through it. To apply for Clerical Positions, -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream. To apply for PO positions -One should have scored a minimum of 60% of marks in your Graduation with any of the stream. Age criteria : -Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 20-28 years. -Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category -Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification. If you complete your Graduation, then I suggest you to have good preparation for this exam and crack it. Better to apply for IBPS Exam which is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in any of the public sector banks. Wish you all the best. |
