National defence academy is conducted by union public service commission twice in a year to recruits the candidates in Army, Navy & Air Force wings of National Defence Academy.

Those candidate have completed 12th standard are applicable for NDA Exam Without having Mathematics and Physics subject student are eligible for NDA exam but you can apply only Indian Army post .NDA exam not require any percentage marks of the candidate.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for Sc/ST candidate . Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

Pattern for NDA exam :-



Selection process for NDA recruitment -Written Test , Physical Test , Medical Test and Personal Interview .SSB conduct this process in SSB center .

Physical eligibility criteria for NDA exam :-





If you have fulfill the above criteria then you are applicable for physical test for NDA exam .

Notification for NDA II Exam , 2013:-

Date of notification: 04th May, 2013
Last date for receipt of applications: 03rd June, 2013, Monday.
Date of commencement of exam: 11th August, 2013, Sunday.

From this year NDA application form must be submitted by only online system. The fees for NDA exam is 50/- . You can be paid the amount through SBI Debit/Credit Card or by SBI Net Banking or by depositing directly in SBI .

NDA stands for National Defense Academy

This exam is conducted by UPSC twice in Year in Month of June and December called NDA-I and NDA-II......

NDA exam is conducted in Three Wings:

1. Indian Army
2. Indian Navy
3. Indian Air Force

A candidate must have completed their 12th science from recognized Board are eligible for NDA In all wings and commerce and arts stream students are eligible for only Army wing...

Final years of 12th std students also eligible for this exam. not require any percentage marks....

Age of candidate should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for Sc/ST candidate

Only Unmarried Male are eligible for it. girls are not eligible for this exam...

A Candidate have nationality of INDIA...

Physical eligibility for NDA Examination ::

~~ The candidate must be physically and mentally fit while appearing for NDA Examination and free from all the diseases .
~~ The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms for Army wings and Navy wings.
~~ The minimum acceptable height is 162.5 cms for Air Force.
~~ Height / Weight Standards are provided below ::



~~ Chest should be well developed. Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms .

Eye Stands for NDA Examination ::

• Uncorrected without glass 6/9
• Corrected with glass 6/6
• Limits of myopia -0.75
• Limits of Hypermetropia +1.5
• Binocular Vision III
• Limits of Colour preception I

Visual Standards for Air Force:-

~~ Minimum Distant vision 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other, correctable to 6/6 only for Hypermetropia. Colour vision CP-1 Hypermetropia: +2.0 D Sph
~~ Manifest Myopia: Nil
~~ Retinoscopic Myopia: -0.5 in any Meridian permitted
~~ Astigmatism: +0.75 D Cyl

Physical Conditions ::

• Running 2-4 Km in 15 minutes
• Skipping
• Pushups and situps (minimum 20 each)
• chinups (min 08)
• Rope Climbing 3-4 meters .

$$ NDA stands for the National Defense Academy. this exam is conducted by UPSC twice time in year. for those candidate who are wishing to join Indian Defense Service....

$$ A candidate must be Physically as well as Mentally strong enough if they are wishing to apply for the NDA exam. NDA exam have stage of Medical Exam you have to clear it......

$$ A candidate must have completed their 12th Std. with Science stream subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Maths from Recognized Board exam.....

$$ Age of candidate should be between 16.5 to 19 years...

$$ No age Relaxation for Reserved category....

$$ A candidate must have Nationality of India.....

$$ Only Unmarried Male candidate can apply for this exam....

Physical Requirement:-


►► A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health.

►► Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion.

►► Height of Candidate at least 157 Cm.

►► He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye.

►► Colour vision should be CP-III.

►► Should recognize red and green colours.

►► Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes.
