Yes, after Mechanical Diploma, you can apply for NDA to join Indian Navy provided you fulfill other eligibility criteria.

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate aspiring for Indian Navy of NDA, must be an unmarried Indian male candidate having either appear for the final 12th exam/Diploma in Engineering or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject of studies from a recognised Board or Institution within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

Female candidates are not eligible.

Candidate should physically fit for this exam.

To join in Indian Navy The minimum education qualification for Indian Navy am showing the above image for Indian Navy Notification. I hope your confusion will be clear.

**There is no percentage required for Indian Navy.

Physical measurement - Applicants need to be fit in all respect of physically and candidates should be physically strong and fit with running and exercise and must not be colour/night blind.

To join in indian navy after completion of degree you need to apply CDS exam.CDS-Combined Defence Service.CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.

Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate must be complete graduation from any recognised university.

Percentage is not required for the CDS exam.

You must be a Indian origin.

You must be physically fit.

Age criteria:-

For naval academy--> 19 to 22years,

For Airforce academy--> 19 to 23 years,

For Military academy--> 19 to 24 years,

For Officer training academy--> 19 to 25 years.

No upper age relaxation.

Yes Off Course After Completing your Diploma Course your eligible to apply for Indian Navy Artificer Appprentices / Direct Entry Artificer (Diploma Holders) Examination.

The Notification for this Examination may Published in Employment news paper and Other top new papers in India .

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy Artificer Appprentices / Direct Entry Artificer (Diploma Holders) Examination :-

Age Criteria :-

Your age should be 18 years to 22 years for Direct Entry Artificer and No Upper relaxation will given for any category candidates .

Minimum Educational Qualification :-

You should be Passed in Matriculation / Equivalent with Science / Maths with 65% marks from recognized Univeristy .

(OR)

You should Passed in 12th standard (or) Equivalent Examination in science stream with Minimum 60% Percentage of marks from recognized Univerity .

(OR)

You should Qaulified in three years Diploma course in any one of the Specilization like, Mechanica/ Electrical/Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering / Telecommunicationl/

Physical Standards :-

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering holders are eligible for Non officer posts like Artificier Apprentice and Senior Secondary Sailor posts in Indian Navy.

You must have very good physical health and very good eyesight to get into Indian Navy as an cadet.

Age Limit for AA and SSR posts:

Age must be between 17.5 to 21 years.

No age relaxation of any type is given for these posts.

Selection Procedure:

-Written Exam

-Physical Fitness Test

-Medical Examination

Those in merit will be selected for the posts. So be prepared for the examination.
