Dear friend,

Plasma is a ionized gas.The atoms of the substance comprising it are so active that their outer electrons are mobile. It can transfer heat and conducts electricity.

Uses of Plasma:
  • Plasma is used in many things,an interesting one is that a plasma mix of several elements is compacted in fusion reactors to create massive amounts of heat and energy.
  • Plasma is used to deposit thin coatings.
  • It is used to cutting solid materials.

All the best....................

Meaning of Plasma:

Plasma is the fourth state of matter, it is a phase of matter distinct from solids, liquids, and gases. Plasma is electrically conductive and can be manipulated by magnetic fields. It can be found in displays, fluorescent lamps, plasma balls, flames, lightning, aurora borealis, tesla coils, and more.

Uses of Plasma:

~~ It is used in the electronics industry or making of plasma televisions.

~~ It is also used in space research and fusion physics.

Thumbs up Re: What is the plasma and what is its use?

Plasma is ionized gas. The atoms of the substance comprising it
are so active that their outer electrons are mobile.
(The ionization can be from heat or electrical discharge.)
It can transfer heat and conducts electricity.
It is what glows in Neon signs and discharge lamps.
It can be used to deposit thin coatings or to cut solid materials.
The flame of an air/gas torch is a plasma.
So is the arc of an electric welder.
note -plasma is considered the 4th state of matter after Solid, Liquid, Gas.
