Re: What is the qualification for bank test? I have passed 12th with 80% marks
SBI is the bank where you can apply for clerical job with 12th class qualification. This qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 60% marks. Graduation is the minimum qualification for attending the IBPS CWE. About 19 banks are participating in the recruitment process of IBPS. Qualified candidates in CWE have the option to join any of the nationalized banks. After graduation, you can apply for clerical or P.O job positions.

Re: What is the qualification for bank test? I have passed 12th with 80% marks
Dear Friend
There are mainly two entrance exam held for the selection of candidates for the different posts in different banks. First one is the IBPS CWE : IBPS stands for the Institute of Banking and personnel selection and it conducts common written exam for the posts of clerk and probationary officer for the twenty nationalised banks. The academic qualification for both the posts if bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized .final year graduation candidates can give this exam. The age limit for the probationary officer is 21-30 years with upper age relaxed for the obc and sc/st candidates. You must be an Indian citizen.Basic knowledge of computer operation is necessary and at the time of application you need to submit a certificate showing that you know how to handle the computer. Second one is the State Bank of India entrance exam.It is also held for the different posts : >Clerk >>Probationary officer >>Specialist officer. Previously the academic requirement for the clerk post was 10+2 from a recognized board with minimum 60% marks .But from the coming year it has changed and now bachelor's degree is required for the Clerk post as like probationary officer. So sorry to say that you are not eligible for the SBI clerk post or IBPS clerk post .It would be better if you complete your bachelor's degree in any stream then think about the entrance exam for the bank. During your final year you can join a good coaching institute for better preparation. For any more details ,please visit www.sbi.co.in or www.ibps.in Hope the information helps you.If you have any more query ,please leave here ,we will reply you as soon as possible. all the best for your career aashisranjan784 |

What is the qualification for bank test? I have passed 12th with 80% marks.?
Generally there are two types of Banks like: 1)Public sector Banks 2)Private Sector Banks. For getting a job in Banking sector in the Public sector Banks you have 2 types in this. First you can get into the public sector banks by writing the IBPS exam and getting qualified in it and Next way to get into the public sector bank is to write the written exam of SBI because SBI will conduct the exam individually but not with the IBPS. For getting the job in banks in private sector you can get the job by attending the written exam and other rounds conducted by the banks by themselves individually. For writing the IBPS exams 12th is not useful along with it you must have completed even degree or any other recognized university from the recognized university. But you can get job as clerk in SB?I with your 12th class because you have required qualification. I suggest you to do degree or any equivalent with more than 60% from recognized university and so, that you can apply for any of the bank exams.Though IBPS exams do not require any percentage. |

Re: What is the qualification for bank test? I have passed 12th with 80% marks
You are at least for now are eligible for the SBI Clerk entrance exam. While for the same exam by Institute of Banking Personnel Services, you must have graduation degree.
I say at least for now because the government has recommended that the criteria for Clerk exam should be graduation. While the Institute of Banking Personnel Services has accepted it, State Bank of India is yet to implement it. In the future it is possible that SBI may also implement the recommendations. Therefore I will recommend you to apply for graduation, in case you are really interested in banking sector jobs. After completing graduation you may also be eligible for the Bank PO exam which has better pay than the Clerk exam. SBI Clerk Eligibility 1. The candidate should be Indian. 2. You must have passed 12th standard. 3. Subjects could be any of your choice. 4. Must have 60 percent marks in 12th standard. 5. Graduates are also eligible to apply. 6. There is no marks criteria for graduation. 7. You should be at least 18 years old to apply. 8. Upper age limit is 28 years. 9. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 10. While the relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST. 11. And 10 years for PWD. |

Re: What is the qualification for bank test? I have passed 12th with 80% marks
Quote:
But for all other posts like Probationary Officers, Specialist officers and so on you need to have a graduate degree as otherwise you wont be allowed to apply for these examinations. Earlier the IBPS Clerk exam used to allow the HS passed students to apply. But not anymore. Even their revised eligibility criteria only demands a graduate degree and nothing short of that. Therefore if you want to broaden your horizon and increase the number of opportunities for yourselves then i would recommend you to get a degree first in any discipline of your choice. The subject you choose does not matters nor the marks if you want to apply for the post of PO or Clerk. Here is the eligibility criteria of SBI Clerk Examination:- 1. At HS level you need to have 60% of marks. (Reserved Category: 55%) 2. Diploma degree holders needs to get 60% of marks as well. The duration of the degree should not be less than two years. 3. At graduation level you need to get 40% of marks. (Reserved Category: 35%) 4. Lower age limit is 18 years and upper age limit is 28 years. 5. The selection procedure basically includes a written examination which is followed by an interview session. SBI Clerk Exam Books To Follow:-
