Being a student from commerce background, you may write Combined Defense Service Exam, conducted by UPSC.
To be eligible for the examination, you must hold a bachelors degree of recognized university.
The age limit for the exam is between 19-24 years.
The application forms are available at designated post offices/head post offices from the date of notification.
You may also apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in

You want to join in Indian Army wing in officer post, then you have to appear in CDS exam..
Eligibility for CDS exam:-

1.Indian Military Academy:-

*Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade.
*Candidate should not have any pending backlogs during graduation.
*Final year candidates can also apply for CDS exam..
*Age should be in between 19-24 years.
*Candidate must be physically fit.
*Candidate should be a citizen of India.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill to apply for CDS exam..

If you want to join Indian Army with Commerce background then there are two ways:-

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE

NDA exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II and if you are an unmarried Indian male within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age having either appeared for the final 12th exam or passed from any stream, you can apply for the Indian Army of NDA.

CDS eam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II and if you are an unmarried Indian national within the age of 19 to 24 years of age having either appeared or passed the final graduation degree course from any stream, you can apply for Indian Military Academy and Indian Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

HOW CAN WE GET THE ADMISSION IN RMC COLLEGE OF DHERADUN

Master's Degree with 55% marks in Physics (with Maths in BSc) or Maths (with Physics in BSc). Women candidates having Chemistry with Physics as subsidiary at Degree level are also eligible.
Height and weight:
Men: Minimum acceptable height 157 cms with correlated weight.
Women: Minimum acceptable height 152 cms, weight 38.6 kgs. In both cases the correlated weight should not, however, vary from the average by more than 10%.
Visual Standards:
6/60, 6/60 for I and 6/24, 6/36 for II & III correctable to 6/6 (in each eye with glasses).

CDS exam conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year.

Eligibility for IMA:-

The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.
The age limits are 19 years to 24 years.
No age relaxation.


Eligibility for NA:-

The candidate should be complete Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognised university.
Percentage is not required.
The age limits are 19 years to 22 years.
No relaxation in age.


Eligibility for IAF:-

Candidate should have to complete bachelor's degree in Engineering from any recognised university.
Applicant's age should be in between 19 years to 23 years.
No upper age relaxation.


Eligibility for OTA

The applicant should be complete degree in any stream from a recognised university.
The applicant's age should be in between 19 years to 25 years.
There is no upper age relaxation.


Selection process:

Written exam,
Personal interview,
Medical test.
