When and what is the requirements to apply for SI of police in kerala?

The candidate who wishes to join Kerala Police as Sub Inspector has to appear for the Kerala Public Service Commission Exam .

The eligibility criteria required to apply for SI examination in Kerala are as under:-

- The candidate must have completed Graduation degree with at least 60%(50% for SC/ST) marks from a recognized university .

-The age limit to apply for the exam is from 21 years to 30 years for general category.There is relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

-The physical requirements with respect to Height is 162 cm and chest is 82 cm without expansion .

-The selection procedure involves of

Written test.

Physical test.

Medical test.

The qualifications required to apply for SI post in Kerala are :
-> Bachelor degree or any other equivalent examination from UGC approved college is the educational qualification required to apply for this post.
-> Age limit to apply for this post is 18-25 years for general candidates and age relaxations are as per Kerala government regulations.
-> And candidate must be mentally and physically fit to apply for this post and the candidate must be local candidate of Kerala state.
-> And physical standards required for this post are :
* 165 cm height for men and 152 cm height for women candidates belongs to general category 5 cm height relaxation for reserved category candidates.
* Eye sight must be 6/6 in good eye, 6/9 in bad eye for distant vision & 0.5 in good eye, 0.8 in worst eye for near vision.
-> And the selection procedure of SI post is written test followed by physical efficiency test and personal interview.
