Sir, I have got 48.8% in 12th board exams. Can I for the Group Y of Indian Air Force? I have got 61 marks in English subject. What are the other requirements to be eligible for the Y group of the Indian Air Force?

--> The minimum eligibility criteria required to apply for Indian Air force Airmen Group Y recruitment are as below :-

* You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate.

* Your age must lie within 17 years to 21 years.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline with at least 50% marks overall from a recognised board. Further, 50% marks in English is also must.

* You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms.

So, having completed your Class 12th with 48.80% marks, you are not eligible for Airmen group Y recruitment.

* You must hold the citizenship of India.

* Your age must lie within 17 years to 21 years.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline with at least 50% marks overall as well as at least 50% marks in English from a recognized board.

* You must hold the physical and mental fitness as main subjects.

So, having just managed 48.8% marks in your Class 12th, you are not eligible for Air force Group Y recruitment.

Eligibility criteria for air force Y group is given below:
*10+2 exam passed with 50%, English marks 50%.
*2 year vocational course passed with 50%.
This exam is conducted twice a year by the Indian air force. Hence, one can apply according to the age eligibility which is changed regularly with the examination time.
