HELLO,

Biology is the science of life. The vast scope of its subject matter makes biology an extremely diverse field of study.

The wide array of biological perspectives is reflected in the many sub disciplines of the field. Genetics, anatomy, physiology, ecology, ethology, botany, neurobiology, systematics, molecular biology, developmental biology, paleontology, and cell biology are just a few of the multitude of specializations that, taken together, compose biology.

Like other scientists, biologists use the scientific method to develop explanations for the patterns and processes that they observe in the natural world. The practice of biology thus involves both systematic observation, often aided by sophisticated instruments, and experimentation. Biologists may work in laboratories or in the field; some of the best biological research combines data gathered in both settings.

Career Opportunities

> > A bachelor’s degree in biology can lead to employment in the large and growing biotechnology, health care, or pharmaceutical industries.

> > Certain government agencies, including the National Park Service and the Environmental Protection Agency, also regularly hire biology graduates, as do private environmental and conservation organizations.

> > Employers of all types recognize that a person with a science degree is likely to be comfortable with logical, quantitative thinking.

GOOD LUCK

Hi,

Biology is the second major subject, students opt after 10th.

Biology has got numerous career options and jobs.

A biology student's first and foremost choice is MBBS.

But MBBS requires a lot of dedicated hours of preparation and study, which is not everybody's cup of tea.

So, there are many other options to choose from.

Some of these are-

Biotechnology

Biochemistry

Paramedical sciences

Life Sciences

Hi
The world has a lot of opportunities for the world of biology and bio medicals. The biology field gives you the opportunity for being a reputed position like doctor, dentists etc. then if you are not interested in your MBBs degree, then you may also join the graduation course in your chosen field and thereafter, you can pursue the masters for the same. Then if you have plans for getting into the teaching field, then you must apply for the NET exam. and if you want to go for even further studies, then you can go on for the p.hD degree.
Gud luck

hello friend,

  • Biology is a branch of science that deals with the study of life. Hence, it is also called life science.
  • The simple curiosity of human beings to observe nature and the human basic instincts for survival and gathering food probably had a role in the birth and development of biology.
  • Biology helps us to know about the diversity in the living world and the ways by which it can be preserved.
  • Biology helps us to know more about ourselves.
  • Biology is such a vast field that it encompasses the study of various aspects of living organisms as well as their interactions with the non-living components. Hence, the study of these different aspects form different branches of biology.
  • Biology has two primary branches - Botany, the study of plants and Zoology, the study of animals.
  • In Botany as well as Zoology, one can recognize classical (or pure) branches, interdisciplinary branches and applied branches.
  • Classical branches largely provide knowledge in the respective areas of study. Some classical branches include Taxonomy (classification), Morphology (study of external form), Anatomy (study of internal structure), Histology (study of tissues), Cell Biology (Study of cells) etc.
  • Interdisciplinary branches indicate the relationship of Biology with other branches of science. Some common interdisciplinary branches are Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biometry and Bioinformatics. Psychology and Sociobiology are interdisciplinary branches involving Biology and Social Sciences.
  • Applied branches enable us to apply the knowledge gained from different areas to be used for welfare of man, animals and plants. These include branches like Agriculture, Animal husbandry, Dairy, Poultry, Entomology, Aquaculture, Food technology and Biotechnology.
  • Applied branches provide career opportunities for students pursuing Biology as a subject at the class 12 level.

If you are really intrested in studying Biology then it is definitely a wise decision.
There are lot of scopes after you compleate your 10+2 with Biology.
Most of the scope is in the field of medical sciences.
You can go for MBBS degree for which you need to give various Pre medical entrances after 12th.
You can also go for BAMS(ayurvedic), BUMS(Unani), BHMS(Homeopathic).
These are the various streams in which you can pursue according to your intrests.
You can also go for BDS(Dental).
Also you can go for Bsc in various streams like Biology, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental sciences.

with regards,

mahaling
