Hi, i am doing ba english literature(ca) final year. I am interested in doing mba. Some people say that doing mba after ba is a cross major and you wont get job. I am really confused. which is best to do after ba, ma or mba? Please suggest me.

Many student ask this question what is best for us after completing of BA course.
and many are Interested in MBA and many in MA.
MBA is management field and MA is nearly opposite of MBA.
So if you are interested in management then go for MBA otherwise MA.
I think you should go for MA English.
As you are now doing BA English so i think you have to go with same field.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER BA , MA OR MBA

If you are interested in administrative role then go in for a MBA. One can pursue MBA after completing a graduate degree in any subject. Good command over English, Good analytical skill and problem solving ability is required. After completing MBA, you can enter in a good and remunerative profession. There are also different specializations in MBA. MA literature is quite a good subject. But job opportunities are low as compared to MBA.

Career prospects for both MA and MBA is equal and good.

MBA is a professional course, you can become a specialist in the following fields:-
1. Marketing

2. Finance

3. Human Resource

4. Production and Operation

5. Research and Development

Whereas with MA you can become a Lecturer , Professor, you can also apply for civil services and other government sectors.

You should follow your interest if you are interested in MBA don't listen to people and heads up. All the best.

Hi,well MA or MBA both have a good career option it depends on you in what doing you are more interested as you have done/doing BA (eng)
You have a good option doing MA (ENG) and after M.phil or give CET exams ,You may choose to be a Lecturer in University/college.or many other research programmes,Publishing books.
Somebody has misguided you that after BA,You can't go for MBA.If you are interested in Management field Masters in Business Administration is good option after any Bachelor's degree,course requires different subject areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations management, etc. Students in MBA programs have the option of taking general business courses throughout the program or can select an area of concentration and focus approximately one-fourth of their studies in this subject.
And not only these but you may also chose Mass Communication field as this media industry is booming at a fast pace.
The first and the last thing is in which area you have interests.MA/MBA OR ??

After completion of B.A , in which field you will go it is totally depends on you..
You decide in which field you have more interest... In which you can excel yourself...
According to me , I suggest you to go for MBA course.. As it has bright future prospect..
After completion of MBA course you will get a huge opportunity to get a job with high salary package...
As you have mentioned that you have interest in doing MBA then go for it..
Don't listen others... just do what you want..

It is wrong that if you do MBA then you wont get job. Infact job oppurtunity is more

when you do MBA after BA inspite of doing MA after BA. The difference is just that you

will get job in different sectors after doing different courses. On doing MBA, a person

selects an area of concentration such as marketing,accounting,health care administration

etc. MA include education ,liberal arts ,fine arts ,communication ,history etc. Next the

choice is yours!

After doing graduation in any field one can do MBA. My elder sister did her graduation in fashion designing from NIFT and now she is doing MBA. However, in order to get admission, she had to give CAT. I am in first year BA. I will be doing English honors (honors are from second year in my university), but i intend to do MBA afterwards as it has a brighter future in comparison to MA. I am not saying that MA doesnt have any future, but, MBA's future is far better (why do you think most of the ppl are doing MBA). My dad is into the corporate world and has, luckily, given us the right advise which I am sharing with you. Yet, if you wish, you can, also, seek advise from a very good career counselor. Good luck!

B.A stands for the bachelor in Arts course. Its a full time 3 years graduation course which is basically for the arts streamed students.

Now anybody who wishes to take up B.A Honours should firstly complete his/her 12th from a recognized school or state board in India and then can apply in any reputated University for the admission which are most probably based on the aggregate obtained in class 12th.


Now if you ask you should go for MA, or MBA, I would personally suggest you MBA.

But the question pointed to you is, what is your ultimate aim. To earn money, or to study to the top degree ?

If you wish to earn money, then B.A course won't support you much in that. So you definitely have to think about doing MBA from some good reputated college in India.

But If you wish to study till the masters, then M.A is the course for you. After that you can write books, publish articles based on your subject, and yet do MBA also !



So you are the one who has to decide, which way you want to go.. Personally M.B.A would be a better choice if you are confused as to what to do.

It would give you exposures and also develop you as a professional.

The top MBA entrances in our country are : CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, GRE, SNAP, Jamia, etc..

IIM's are considered to be the top colleges in India for Business Studies.

The most impoant thig is what ever be the course how excel is the most important one. ok..

Yes, you could do MBA just after completing your BA but you must clear a entrance exam like CAT, MAT, XAT,GMAT ,SNAP before taking admission in MBA.You have to choose your specialization on the basis of your capability and interest and yes you could choose both marketing and finance but one would be major and one would be minor so be with your capability to accomplish better then you deserve.

Difference between MA/MBA
Actually both are the masters degree but MBA is not only a masters but a professional degree also which has a great demand in corporate world.

you should go for M.A because your base is in arts then you should do the masters in arts not in bussiness.if you are great in logics or your interest is in bussiness then you can do M.B.A.

Not like that ,, any stream candidates are eligible to apply for MBA Course ... So, after Completing your BA Course your applicable for MBA Course ...

And definitely you may get Good Job after Completing your MBA Course ,, Because after Completing your MBA Course most of the Companies ,, Only take Considered your MBA Course score other then your BA Course scores ..
