I am a graduate Mechanical Engineer passed from anna university in april 2011 with first class.But I am still in search of a job I am not getting placed what should I do sir ? kindly help me out.....

What should I do to get Job being a Graduate of Mechanical Engineer?

Mechanical engineering contains a lot of jobs not only in private sector but also in government sector as well .For getting any job , you will have to sit in entrance exam or in some private companies only interview but today most of the companies take candidate through bot written exam and interview.

You can apply for the following jobs :

First of all congrats for completing your B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Basically for any job, it requires ::
1.Good percentage of marks
2.Better communication skills
3.A fine grip of your technical subjects

If you are looking for your core side job, it takes time for you as there are limited number of opportunities available.

If you are looking for software career, you must have a thorough knowledge on C. And C++,Java and other software packages knowledge is also useful

Better to look at IT as it has more opportunities.

Register yourself in employment portals like Naukri,monster, freshersworld etc.

After completing graduation in Mechanical Engineering, if you dont have option for on campus placements, you can go for off campus placements.
Many PSUs like BHEL, IOCL, and others offer vacancy for ME people.
For more details you can see employment news.Moreover, you can appear for GATE exam and then through GATE score may companies hire.
Also you can apply for various private sectors too like Maruti suzuki, Tata Motors and others.
