Re: What is the scope for mechanical engineer in government job?
Mechanical Engineering is the core branch of engineering with lots of job and career opportunities in the government departments.
Being an engineer, from my point of view the best entrance exam to get a good job in government department with good salary and reputation is Indian Engineering Services exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. It is also called Engineering Services examination. The eligibility criteria for the exam is as below: >>Any candidate who has done bachelor's degree in engineering or technology can appear for the is exam. Final year candidates of engineering can also apply for the exam provided they meet age criteria. The age limit for general candidates is 21-30 years with three years upper age relaxation to OBC and five years to SC/ST candidates. It is conducted in four streams of engineering: 1. Civil Engineering. 2. Mechanical Engineering. 3. Electronics and Communication Engineering. 4. Electrical Engineering. There are two objective papers and two conventional papers and those who clear written test are called for interview. You can get more details at www.upsc.gov.in. By cracking Graduate aptitude test in Engineering with good rank, you can get job in various public sector undertakings like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, ONGC etc. |
