CBI stands for Central Bureau of Investigation and this is one of the leading investigation agency under our Indian Government. This agency works under the Home Minister. For many its a dream to work in the CBI.

The Staff Selection Commission every year conducts an exam called Combined Graduate Level Examination for various posts out of which Sub-Inspector position in Central Bureau of Investigation happens to be one of them. So if you wish to work for the CBI, then you need to sit for this examination.

Eligibility Criteria:-

1. You should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university.
2. The lower age limit is 20 years and the upper age limit is 25 years.
3. There is five years age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates and 3 years for the OBC candidates.
4. There are certain physical requirements too which needs to be satisfied.

Selection Procedure includes the following three stages:-

1. Preliminary Examination
2. Mains
3. Interview

Preliminary Exam Pattern:-

1. English Comprehension
2. Numerical Aptitude
3. General Awareness
4. General Intelligence
5. Reasoning ability

Mains Exam Pattern:-

1. Arithmetic ability
2. Statistics
3. English comprehension
