Re: What should I do to join VLSI or Embedded course after engineering in ECE branch?
it's a big mistake to waste one year without doing anything. at least you should learn some subject or you should do some training or course. if you do nothing for one year then this will be considered as gap in your career in your resume and it will be considered as bad effect.
but don't worry one year gap is not so much big deal. now if you become serious obviously you can do well. you have prepared for GRE for one year so there is a chance to clear GRE. but unfortunately if you are unable to clear GRE then don't worry go for VLSI or Embedded system training. now a days embedded system training is very popular. as you are from Electronics and communication engineering branch so VLSI and Embedded system both are good for you. but i think Embedded system will be better for you because in embedded system course there are so many things are included. you will learn so many things if you go for embedded system training program. there are so many private training institution which provide training on VLSI or Embedded system. try to find out one good institution. vector institution or ACS Pune is good institution for embedded system course. you may try for training there if you are interested. they not only provide training but also give job opportunity. so you may get good job from there after completion of your training. after selecting the institution where you want to take admission contact with the institution then they will provide you all details about course syllabus, course duration, course fee etc. according to your suitability take admission in an institution. best of luck. |

After completion of your degree you have already wasted one year doing nothing at all.
Yes obviously you can go for some training. There are several types of training you can go for: Microprocessor, Microcontroller, Communication, Embedded System etc. You can obviously go for the VLSI training. There are several institutes which conduct training on Embedded System and IC fabrication. Thank you. |

Re: What should I do to join VLSI or Embedded course after engineering in ECE branch?
Hi
Embedded systems are computers (microprocessors) that are enclosed (embedded) in customized hardware. Some of the examples can be portable medical equipment, cellular phones, or consumer electronics items. You will be interested to know that the market demand for embedded system designers has become very high and is expected to grow further. And VLSI is very large-scale integration and is the current level of computer microchip miniaturization where hundreds and thousands of transistors are contained in microchips. These memory cards we use, or the mother boards, PCBs etc come under VLSI.. Both are somewhat similar fields and both are in demand. So you can take up any one. Or you should rather go for your M Tech i suppose. Be Calm, prepare for GATE and crack it. After M tech you can easily fetch yourself a job in the core electronics companies. Hope this helps. Good luck ! |

both are good field in the department of ECE..
but embedded systems are more scoped than VLSI.. many mobile and laptop companies are recruited candidates with knowledge in embedded system parallely, you should develop your programming skills.. because, programming skill is very much important in this course.. all the best for your bright future.. |
