If you want to join merchant navy you are eligible right away. The minimum qualification required is 12 standard for the same. But you should have studied the same from a recognised institute. If you want to study further you can join for B.Tech in Marine Engineering. For this you need to appear for the IIT-JEE and AIEEE exam.
