Re: What is the syllabus for the entrance for B.Tech?
Quote:
Syllabus For Exam: Most of these exams cover syllabus from 11th & 12th class curriculum, which includes Physics, chemistry, Maths. Questions asked in exams are mostly objective type only. You can prepare from any standard books for IITJEE, that would be sufficient for others too. ## For Maths: Arihant Publications, RD Sharma ## Physics: HC Verma , NCERT ## Chemistry: OP Tondan , NCERT Exam pattern: Recently there has been some changes in exam pattern and admission criteria (in IITJEE, AIEEE) , according to which aptitude questions will also be there in exam. For IITJEE, only top 20% percentile will be eligible for exam. For AIEEE, exam pattern will be same as before , but 12th marks will be considered for admission. While, no changes are announced till now in State Engg Entrance exams. So, please prepared well for the examination as per the syllabus and pattern, you can download the syllabus from the AIEEE and IIT official website. So please check the official website for complete information. |

Re: What is the syllabus for the entrance for B.Tech?
Syllabus more or less remains same for all the different entrance examinations of B Tech. But, each and every examination authority has mentioned their own syllabus for the engineering aspirants.
For an example AIEEE syllabus and recommended books are: Paper No. Subjects Paper I Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics - Objective type questions - for B.E/B.Tech candidates Paper II Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing -for B.Arch and B. Planning candidates Total ** There will be negative marking for each incorrect answer. One-fourth of the total marks would be deducted for each incorrect answer. There will be no deduction for no response. Recommended Books Some of the recommended books are: - Mathematics: R. S. Agarwal - Maths XI & XII S.L. Loni - Plane Trigonometry Part I Hall & Knight - Higher Algebra I.A. Maron - Problems in Calculus of One Variable Vectors & 3-D Geometry- Arihant Prakashan V Govorov, P.Dybov, N.Miroshin, S.Smirnova.- Problems in Mathematics Bernard & Child - Higher Algebra K.P. Basu - Algebra Made Easy Chemistry: NCERT - Chemistry XI & XII P. Bahadur - Physical Chemistry O.P. Agarwal- IIT Chemistry Ebbing - General Chemistry R.T. Morrison, R.N. Boyd - Organic Chemistry Francis Carey - Organic Chemistry Bahal & Bahal - Organic Chemistry P.W. Atkins - Physical Chemistry Bruce H. Mahan - University Chemistry Physics: H.C.
