Yet there is no any advertisement is on the website of PUNE university.The admission form for the M.A. course will be available at the department after the advertisement appears in the Press. Admission to the M.A. programme begins after the University of Pune declares the B.A. examination results. Admission forms for M.A. programme can be obtained from the department.Students who possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from University of Pune or any other recognized university with ( in the open category) 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade (B +) will be considered for admission. The cutoff for reserve category candidates is at 50% at graduation level.Usually, in the month of April the University advertises for the entrance of the course and applications are available online during the month of May. In June every year, the entrance test is conducted and the course commences from the month of July. Admissions for the course will be determined on the basis of performance in the admission test, not the graduation marks. Admission is strictly according to merit. The total number of seats is 50. In addition, there are four seats for foreign students; foreign candidates need not appear for the entrance test. The department follows the reservation rules of the university
