i would like to give exams for ca cpt in 2012. so what time should we resister and when will be the exams held and where

The notification for CPT June-2012 should come in Jan-2012 or later.
Once the notification for the is published by the organizing institute ICAI, then
the date of applying and date of exam etc. will be known.

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR CA CPT EXAM 2011 DECEMBER

sorry for that,but you have lost you resistration date for CA CPT exam 2011.
Don't feel bad you can give 2012 entrance exam for the same.Always try to touch in information about the same.

Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test – CA CPT June 2012

CA CPT June Entrance Exam Date 2012
Common Proficiency Test ( Paper – Pencil Mode ) will be held on 17th June, 2012 ( Sunday ) in two sessions as below :
CA CPT June 2012 Exam Date
First Session ( i.e. Morning Session )10.30 AM to 12.30 PM ( IST )
Section - A Fundamentals of Accounting
Section - B Mercantile LawsSecond Session
( i.e. Afternoon Session )2.00 PM to 4.00 PM ( IST )
Section - C General Economics
Section - D Quantitative AptitudeCA CPT June Entrance Exam Pattern 2012
It is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course, which is held twice in a year in June and December. It is a test of four subjects i.e., Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude with an objective to test basic knowledge in these subject areas. This test is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each with a break in between. CPT is an objective type test with negative marking.
Subjects to be studied in CPT are as follows :
SESSION – 1 ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks )

• Section A : Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 marks )
• Section B : Mercantile Laws ( 40 marks )

SESSION – II ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks )

• Section C : General Economics ( 50 marks )
• Section D : Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 marks )

To appear in the Common Proficiency Test ( CPT ) students have to fill separate examination application form as per the Notification / Announcement issued by the Examination Division of the Institute in this regard.
