When VIT Chennai Campus would be opening? Will the Entrance exam 2010 for Chennai campus also? pl clarify

The exact dates are not cleared yet,but it is sure it will open soon in 2010.

I think VITEEE 2010 is also for its chennai campus.

Vit chennai campus details are available at their official websites and for admissions it is open till 20th of feb, 2010.

university is planning to set up a campus at Kelambakkam in Chennai on 150 acres with an investment of around Rs 300 crore. The campus is expected to go on stream in 2012 and accommodate 1,000 students in the first year.
The remaining Rs 200 crore would be spent on expanding the existing Vellore campus, spread over 350 acres, and to improve infrastructure.

vit chennai campus is already opened .....but not many are taking admission in it

like wise it is opened and but goinf for engg in the new campus is not fine because there would be lack of faculty

Are you nuts or what? Even the entrance test hasn't taken place for the admission. Admissions will be done on the basis of merit obtained in the examination. Don't spread propaganda material.

VIT chennai campus will be opened from July 2010 near kelambakkam as well vandalur. it plans to take some of the existing faculty from the home institute (Vellore campus), and they are planning to set up all the state of art modernized technology at Chennai campus.

vit chennai campus will be opened before 24th of june 2010 bcoz i've opted for chennai campus 4 mba...they instructed tht the classes will be beginnning frm the above mentioned dates:-) have i taken the right decision to join in vit for mba...pls comment....

VIT construction in kelabakkam vandalore raod is still under progress. Not completed. I am daily commuter via that new campus.

I mean i just want to know the points where they lack? What are their weak Points?

I've heard that VIT chennai lacks faculty and is still under construction.

exactly, this year cutoff for vit has been higher than previous year but you can definitely get a good branch in chennai campus and moderate branch in main campus
