Hello,
An 'astronaut' or 'cosmonaut' is a person trained by a human spaceflight program to command, pilot or serve as a crew-member of a spacecraft. While generally reserved for professional space travelers. The terms are sometimes applied to anyone who travels into space ,including scientists,politician,journalists,and tourists. |

AN ASTRONAUT is one who travels in space with space vehicles such as rocket,jet etc.
His motives may vary but he surely goes there to discover space and to know about it........to find ,discover things,in search of life outside earth..........environment,climate,weather ,,,,,,,etc etc. U can become an astronaut by becoming a scientist of physics subject mostly ,or do engineering ,maths etc .......higher studies is reqired like researchs,phd etc........conact isro for this...... |

as astronaut is a person trained to travel in space craft. some astronauts are mission specialists who fly or navigate the space shuttle they are also called as pilots. while some are payload specialists who work with the equipment that is launched into space, for example they conduct scientific experiments or replace parts of satellites. there are also some health hazards for astronauts Astronauts are susceptible to a variety of health risks such as barotrauma, loss of bone and muscle, sleep disturbances, and radiation injury. |
