dear sir i am fayas i studying M.SC BIOTECHNOLOGY from VIT UNIVERSITY VELLORE
why is SRM UNIVERSITY best instution?
what different by SRM UNIVERSITY & VIT UNIVERSITY?
because VIT UNIVERSITY is a big university thats my question sir

Don't lie because if you are a VIT student then you would not say that SRM is a good college .SRM is one of the fake college of india and it is not better than VIT.

i want to know that which is the best course for avg student after finishing intermediate?

srm had wel specified laboratories and equipments let think students and understand every aspect and also it is accredited by ABET. This is enough to say that srm is better than vit.

some don't lik SRM Univ coz they are frm VIT.. i am SRM student.. i just love my college..both srm and vit are same..but srm is in chennai and providing various advantages than vit..SRM is no.1 pvt univ and no.1 in multiple streams and no.8 in engg and medi along wit IITs and NIITs(sometimes VIT also ranks at good place)..SRM adv than VIT are

>one of asia's largest auditorium
>best inn placement
>alot of branches
>multiple facility (eg:SRM transport,spl arrangement for srm students to travel during festival time.while other transport are rushed)
>various campus ..easy access (Kattankulathur(main),Ramapuram,vadapalani-ramapuram part(heart of city),Trichy,Moddhi ngr(near delhi))
>syllabus gets updated yr by yr,,separate international board for tat.
>access everythin online...libr,pay fees,bus routes,booking SRM star hotel..

SRM and VIT university are the private universities, both are equally good and have their own importance. Both have fantastic facilities and placements.
The main difference in both the universities is fees structure, VIT universities fee structure is less than SRM. SRM is costly university.

VIT and SRM are both deemed universities and AICTE approved. They are neck to neck when compared in terms of the quality of education. If you're looking for a college where studies is your most important criteria, i would suggest VIT Vellore to you. However, if you also want some extra curricular apart from studies or are an average student, you may choose SRM since VIT university is academically very particular and strict.

Also, there is a significant fee structure difference between SRM and VIT universities. VIT university's fees is Rs.1.1 lakhs(excluding hostel fee) per annum whereas SRM university has fees Rs.1.5 lakhs for most courses and Rs.2.5 lakhs for courses such as aeronautical, computer science, etc.

If i have missed out on any basis of comparison, please let me know.

Yes, SRM University is approved and recognized by AICTE. If you are apprehensive about taking admission in SRM University, you should not worry about if its recognized by AICTE or not, it is a well known university for years and infact it was rated as the best private university of 2011 and the quality of students is good as well.
Though SRM University is known more for its courses in medical(BDS, biotechnology, etc.), it is also good for engineering courses such as computer science, mechanical and other core courses.
I have few friends who have taken admission in SRM university and they say that it is a good university to study and certainly recommended it to others so you can look forward to it without worries.

Dear friend,

SRM and VIT both are private universities, they both have their own fee structure of hostel. You cant compare fee structure of both the universities. May be hostels of SRM are better and provide more facilities than VIT.
Don't think that its like Government colleges which almost has same fee structure. Fee structure of hostel and academic both differ with different private universities.

Srm university has high tuition fee as compared to vit university, it can be said that it has bigger and better infrastructure but the hostels in srm are average. I have seen them personally and it comes as a surprise to me as well. But it seems that vit only takes some part of the hostel fee initially as the electricity and mess fee is in advance whereas in srm it seems to be a fixed price as there is no mention of advance fee. It's possible that vit hostel fee might eventually become same as that of srm.

counselling for engineering branches are over in VIT n if i am not wrong counselling for SRM is from 12th-16th june. But entrance exams are already over in SRM n if ur brother has not written it, then you can try through management quota. For that one should approach SRM's head office, which is at T.Nagar.

VIT, SRM were deemed universities till sometime before n are now considered as only universities. Again as already mentioned in the above post, they will demand lot of money as capitation if the student has not written the entrance exam. That capitation differs from branch to branch. They demand more for branches like ECE, IT,IBT.

If you want to do Mechanical engineering, I will suggest you VIT University, it is ABET accredited and you will have good industrial exposure. Also there is SAP(Semester abroad program), which will help you to do your final year project abroad so you'll have a upper hand when you go for MS.

SRM and VIT are both good colleges. But SRM beats Vit in terms of the freedom it offers to its students. Most people think that srm engineers are not quality engineers. But if that were so then who built the first student satellite in India and launched it into the orbit aboard pslv. SRM or VIT?
There are many such achievements that SRM has made. Please do not feel that srm is not better than VIT. On the lighter side VIT has one fest called graVITas. SRM E&T Has two. AARUSH techno mangenent and Milan cultural. AARUSH is fully managed by the students with only one faculty overseeing them. All engineers put their engineering skills to the test in this fest.

SRm Has a plethora of courses and you get to choose it irrespective of your rank and the university has managed to keep up with all of this pretty well. VIT on the other hand has fewer courses and no such choice. Easier to manage and hence a little better placements

IN VIT most of the programmed are accredited by ABET. In SRM only very few courses are accredited by ABET UK
