I want to know that will the grade pay of Inspectors be upgraded to Rs 4600 like the Inspectors of other departments selected through CGL Examination conducted by SSC.

Yes Inspector of Post will get 4600 GP wef 1.1.2006 as in the case of other department Inspectors(Income tax/cENTRAL eXCISE). Due to some hostile attitude/ discrimination they were not allowed 4600 GP despite passing through same examination. Now CAT Ernakulam has clearly given decision in favour of Inspectors of Post for 4600 GP. They must get 4600 GP wef 1.1.2006

Yes ,Inspector of Posts will get 4600 GP like other Inspector. They were being denied GP 4600 despite recommendation of 6th Pay commission. 6th PC had kept them on par with other Inspectors. Now CAT Ernakulam has given decision in their favour for GP of 4600/-
