CBI stands for Central Bureau of Investigation.

To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate Level preliminary exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

This CGL exam have two parts -

Tier I

Tier II

If you have secured good score in both round then you can join CBI branch.

Other details of CBI exam is given below-

Those candidate who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CBI exam.

Age criteria :-

(i) Assistant Grade & Sub Inspectors in CBI –
Age between 20 - 27 years.
(ii) Inspectors of CE / IT & Divisional Accountants/Auditors/ UDCs –
Age between 18 - 27 years.
(iii) Sub Inspectors in Central Police Forces –
Age between 20 and 25 years.

You can apply CBI exam through CGL exam so you can apply online through www.ssconline.nic.in/

There are many ways such as through
1) SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam.
2) separate exams and interview conducted by CBI
3) by deputation (absorbing employees from other companies on behalf of that corresponding companies)
4) get experiences in other companies like CBI then come into CBI


If you really want to go in CBI try to follow them. After long period you will be in CBI.
