NDA stands for National Defence Academy. Every year numerous candidates appear for written exam of NDA. Candidate who clear written exam will be called for SSB Interview.

Most of the candidates gets rejected just after first round of SSB Interview. SSB interview is like a filter, it separates the best candidates from the rest. Candidates who get through first round will be evaluated by senior army Officers, psychologists etc To get pass though the SSB Interview, I suggest you to go through the following tips ->

Know the SSB and its Procedure -> As we all know, SSB Interview is not a day thing. Also it is not like a normal interview. There will be series of tests held in several days.

Candidate have to face WAT ( Word Association Test ), SRT ( Situation Reaction Test ) etc

Do enough Practice -> Study material is available in abundance, also you can refer some NDA preparation books or other study material. You can also join some good coaching classes.

The main thing is you have to practice well.

Keep in touch with Current Affairs -> Never ignore current affairs. Having good general knowledge and general awareness will give you extra advantage. Many times during personal interview these type of question are asked by interviewer. I suggest you to read good newpaper daily like The Hindu, Times of India etc Also refer magazines like Pratiyogita Darpan.

Must have good Knowledge about following -> You must have good knowledge of India, History of India, Indian Politics, India and its current affairs, Armed Forces in India etc These type of questions will be asked during Group Discussion, Personal Interview etc

Have a good Technical and Academic knowledge of your field -> Some time interviewer will ask technical and academic questions. So, have a good knowledge of your field atleast.

Know your State and Town better -> You must have good knowledge about your Native state and town. Before personal Interview you will be asked to fill up a PIQ (Personal Information Questionnaire). Interviewer will ask question about these for sure. Have knowledge like notable personalities, population, language, governmental organizations, and historical significance of your state/town.

Be honest and simple->

Never lie and brag, just be yourself. Don't try to act smart. Acting someone else will harm you much.

Maintain Good Physical fitness -> Be prepare for obstacle round. Eat good food, exercise daily and be in Good Shape.

NDA stands for the National Defense Academy. The entrance to this academy is given to only those candidates who clear both the stages.

First stage is the written test and second stage is Service Selection test. If we analyse the results of previous years, we can conclude that written test is a bit easy to clear than Service Selection Board.

Service Selection Board is 5-6 days test in which each and every aspect of the candidate is assessed by panel of officers. Here full details of what happens in Service Selection Board.

Day 1: Screening Test.

It consists of intelligence questions, officer intelligence and picture perception and description test. It is used to analyse the intelligence of candidates.

Tips: So, you should work on verbal, non verbal reasoning, quantitative aptitude etc. Picture perception should be practised more and more.

If you clear the Day 1, you will be allowed for next tests on further day.

Day 2: Psychological assessment is done.

It mainly consists of Word Association test, situation reaction test etc.

Practice is the main key for the tests. You need to practice a lot on these issues.

Day 3 is Group Task activities in which you will allowed to perform in groups and your behaviour as a leader or team member will be assessed.

Day 4 is the personal interview in which whatever you have filled on Day 2 will be asked, also the officer will ask your general questions.

Simple Key to success in SSB is to show what you are. Do not try to impress, just represent your natural quality. They have psychologists who can assess your all activities if you try to act over smart. Be confident always.

Baalnoi academy is one the best institute for SSB preparation where they charge Rs 10000 for two weeks practice of everything that happens in actual Service Selection board.
