How to get Group A officer level job in railways?


I am pursuing my B.Tech 3rd year. I want a job in railways in group A category.Could you please be kind enough to tell the examination and syllabus in detail. As far as I know, Group A officers are filtered by the exam conducted by UPSC? Is that true? Please answer.

Yes, you can appear for Civil Services examination conducted by UPSC and after your degree and after qualifying in entrance examination eligible for final recruitment in job.

The candidate after qualifying in examination eligible for recruitment as I.R.S ( Indian Railway Service).

The age limit to appear for examination is 21-32 years and relaxation in age for reserved category for final selection. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.
