Tell me what is the procedure to become an income tax or sales tax officer please provide me the detail of my question

Procedure to become an Income tax officer:-

To become an income tax inspector, aspirants must appear for the SSC CGL examination. Staff Selection Commission conducts the combined graduate level (CGL) examination for the recruitment into various government departments. The appointment of income tax inspectors is also done via the SSC CGL examination.

Procedure to become a Sales tax officer:-

1- Complete your graduation in any discipline.

2- Prepare and appear for the SSC CGL entrance exam for the sales tax officer. Your age should be within 18-32 years.

3- Some students choose to appear for UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination, which is also a highly competitive field.

4- There are two rounds for selection which are two written exams and one interview round.

5- In certain cases, there are some physical requirements such as a specific height or physical test like walking and cycling speed. These are usually conducted after the candidate has cleared the exam.

6- Once you clear the exams, and interview round, you can get the job as a GST officer or sales tax officer and start your professional career

The age limit is between 18 years to 27 year.

Physical standard requirements for sales tax officer:-
Height - 157.5 cms
Chest - 81cms

Age relaxation for general category candidates - 21 years to 30 years
For OBC category candidates - 21 years to 33 years
For SC/ST candidates - 21 years to 35 years
For PH candidate - 21 years to 40 years.
