Is tattoo allowed to join Andhra Pradesh Police department?

I want to secure a job in Andhra Pradesh Police. But I have a tattoo on my hand. Am I eligible for getting job in AP Police? As I don't know that tattoo is allowed in Indian Police department or not. Please help me to know about this.

Tattoo is not allowed in Indian Police. You will have to remove it when you face interview & physical test. If you do not remove it you may be rejected while facing interview. Even if somehow you hide it while giving interview but going through physical test have to remove it. After getting the job also you cannot have tattoo.

Yes, there is not a problem in it, you can have a tattoo in your body provided it should not reflect a negative nature in you as you can be rejected during the interview process. Moreover, getting a tattoo before selection is not a very good idea.

However, if you can get them removed temporarily, I would suggest you to get it removed as of now and you can get it on in near future if you wish to.

-------No, tattoos are not allowed in police. You should not have tattoos which could cause offence. Tattoos are not acceptable if they are particularly prominent, offensive or undermine the dignity of your role..
