I am a Government teacher in MCD. I want to fill the form of PGT. What is the age relaxation for a female government employee for filing form for the PGT exam?

Age Criteria for Post Graduate Teacher Post for Female Candidates:

Basically there is a certain age criteria required to apply for the post of Post Graduate Teacher for female candidates.

>> Upper age limit for PGT candidates is 35 years and there will be an age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

>> For SC/ ST Candidates - 5 years

>> For OBC candidates - 3 years

>> For Women (All category candidates) - 10 years

As you are female candidate you will be given 10 years of age relaxation and the maximum age could be 45 years for the post of Post Graduate Teacher.

PGT stands for Post Graduate Teacher and here are the age relaxations for the position:

> General candidates can apply upto 36 years

> OBC candidates will get age relaxation of 3 years

> SC/ST candidates will get age relaxation of 5 years

> PWD candidates will get a relaxation of 10 years

> Women will get age relaxation of 10 years

Age relaxation will be on the basis of your caste. There is no relaxation based in gender for government jobs in India.

Even those who belong to ex-servicemen category and physically handicapped category can get age relaxation.

The upper age limit to apply for Post Graduate Teacher is 36 years. The upper age relaxation available to candidates of different category:

1. OBC: 3 years.

2. SC/ST candidates: 5 years.

3. Government employees: Five years.

You can judge your eligibility by taking into account these relaxation.

The upper age limit for the PGT examination is 41 years.
So, if you are below 41 years of age at this instant, you can definitely apply for the PGT examination.
You must have complete your Post Graduate course with a minimum of 50% of marks in it.
