Re: What subject to study after graduation to become an IFS officer (Foreign Services)?
There is no need to study after graduation to become an IFS officer (Foreign Service).
Those who are graduate with any specialization are eligible for Indian Foreign Service exams. You should start preparing for exam with different mock test, previous year questions and coaching classes. You can study history, politics, international relations and sociology for your preparation. |

Re: What subject to study after graduation to become an IFS officer (Foreign Services)?
The very first thing I would like to let you know is that to become an IFS (Indian Foreign Service) Officer you are required to qualify the Civil Services examination held by UPSC once every year.
Further, the minimum education required for appearing in the Civil Services examination is just a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. So, having completed your Graduation (general) degree course , you are eligible for appearing in the Civil Services examination as far as the educational requirement for the same is concerned and therefore there is no need to pursue any Master degree course for appearing in the same examination. For complete information regarding the Civil Services examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in. |
