Hello, I am Neelam. I have done my llb and now I am going to take admisson in LLM in UTTARAKHAND OPEN UNIVERSITY. I want to ask you that for any government jobs, what is the value of open university degree? Please help me.

As open university does not given any extra status for government jobs as compared to other regular universities,actually for getting govt.job in every sector one should have completed their qualification from any type of university.On the basis of university only you can not get jobs.

If you have completed your degree from a recognized open university then surely it will make you eligible for government jobs.
In case of Law degree approval of Bar Council of India is very essential. Therefore, if a job wants a BCI approved law degree then you have to make sure that you do it from a regular college.

It doesn't matter what type of university you are graduated/post graduated to get a government job. Best of luck!!

Absolutely dear .all distance education and open universities provided diploma &degree certificate aftercompletion of students course.so all government job you can apply with your open universities degree.

sir I completed my 10th board exam at tamil nadu then pass 11th std,then joined Army because discontinued my 12th. Then write one entrance exam through madras university i have passed entrance exam then take BA through open university system . so i eligible govt job? please convey me thanking you sir.
