I have done my B.Ed degree from open distance university. Now i want to apply for government job in Maharashtra. So i want to know whether my bed degree is applicable for other jobs also (except teaching) or not?

Yes definitely you can apply for government job if you have done BEd from recognized university open university with at least 50% marks.

Make sure that your open university should be recognized.
You can appear in Entrance Tests such as:

IAS
IES
HAS
RTO
PO
Clerical etc.

B.Ed is a qualification required for teachers and there us no other job which will ask for B.Ed qualification. If there is a requirement for B.Ed in any other government job then surely you will be eligible without any problem.

Hence, no need to worry because if you fulfill the eligibility criteria and have the qualification approved by UGC then you will not have any problem at all.

Yes, B.Ed course is valid only for teaching section.

After completion B.Ed degree, you can apply for government jobs like assistant teacher post.

Those candidates have completed bachelor degree from a recognized university are eligible for High School teacher exam through TET exam.

Only Indian citizenship candidate are eligible for this exam.

Your age should be in between 20 to 40 years.

B.ed degree is compulsory to become a teacher in various school existing in india whether they are govt.or pvt.school,but for other kind of jobs you could not be able to get the advantage of B.ed as this is not compulsory for other kind of jobs.
