Will iocl fire Graduate Apprentice Engineer after 11 month training? I mean the i will have to leave that job after 11 months?

No, there is nothing such practice prevalent in IOCL. IOCL recruits Graduate Apprentice Engineer every year. After completion of the training period and successful completion of the training by the candidate, the candidates are posted in any one of the branches of IOCL which may be anywhere in India.

The candidates are fired after training on grounds like :-
- The candidate fails to pass the training completely.
- The candidate is not ready to go to a particular location where his/her posting has been assigned.

Basically Graduate Apprentice Engineers has to stay with the IOCL company.In the Apprentice training period you will be dealt with the concepts that goes in or around the company.So they share the knowledge and will let you learn the basic concepts and you will be knowing about the careers and departments and operations going in the IOCL company.

So If you really talented and show your good performance during the Apprentice training period of course you may need to stay back with them and then you may even go from the Graduate Apprentice engineer to Graduate Trainee.So it all depends on the performance.

The selection process of this Graduate Apprentice engineers will be selected on the basis of the GATE score and followed by the Interview.Generally you may find the tentative notification dates in the months of August and September.So generally the IOCL online registration starts in the month of December and January.The candidates who are willing to join must follow the above important dates for applications.

On the basis of the GATE Score,the candidates will get shortlisted.So there they will be allotted to the Group discussion or else Group task.And there by the second round is Personal Interview,in which you may be tested on the various facets of skill,attitude,and aptitude,knowledge on core concepts.The candidates from Civil,mechanical,chemical,electrical and computers and chemical as well as Instrumentation candidates are eligible branches for the recruitment process of IOCL.
