I am a Commerce student and studying in 11th standard. My subjects include Commerce, Accountancy, Maths and Computer Science. My question is, will I be able to study BE Computer Engineering after passing class 12th? I will be really grateful if doubt is cleared.

••• If you have completed 10+2 commerce with maths and computer science, then you are eligible to pursue courses like BCA or Bachelor of Science in Information technology.

••• However, you are not eligible for BE in Computer Engineering because you have not studied physics, chemistry.

--- As you have studied Commerce with computer science subject, hence you can persue BCA course.

--- You are not eligible for BE in Computer Engineering after studying
Commerce with Computer Science subject.Because in order to study this course, the candidate should have studied Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science/IT as additional subject.

You are not eligible to pursue B.E after completion of intermediate in commerce stream.

The common eligiblility to get admission in the course is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCM or diploma course from a recognised institution.

Entrance examination is conducted by different institutions for admission in the course.

The minimum education required to pursue B.E./B.Tech degree course in any discipline is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognised board of education.

So, having pursued your Class 12th in Commerce stream, you are not eligible to pursue B.E. in Computer Science degree course even if you have opted for Mathematics and Computer science for your intermediate degree course.
