Is dca(diploma in computer applications) is necessary for the bank po if the graduation is from bsc. computer science?

No, you do not need to do Diploma in Computer Application after successful completion of B.Sc Computer Science to be eligible for applying Bank PO Jobs. So there is no necessity of doing DCA course to be eligible for Bank PO Recruitments. The basic educational qualification required is " Graduation " or Bachelor Degree in any stream from a recognized university. Candidates who successfully complete their Bachelor Degree (B.Sc in Computer Science) without doing DCA course are also eligible to appear in Bank PO Recruitments as there is Graduation is required. But knowledge of computers is needed to be eligible for applying PO Recruitments and if you can do DCA course it would be an added advantage for you in getting computer knowledge. Besides this try to concentrate on High Level Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Marketing Aptitude/ Computer Awareness, General English and General Awareness topics to score good marks in PO Examination.

No, DCA course is not necessary to apply for Bank PO entrance exam. However, you should know about basic Computer knowledge to be eligible for Bank PO entrance exam. You can apply for the IBPS PO entrance exam after completing B. Sc Computer Science. Here, I am providing the eligibility criteria required for the IBPS PO entrance exam,

IBPS PO Eligibility criteria:

-> Applicants who have completed a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible and final year Graduation students are eligible.

-> Applicants age should be in between 20 to 30 years and Upper age relaxation will be given to the candidates who are belonging to reserved category.

-> Applicants must have basic Computer knowledge.

No it is not required for students with computer as subject in 12th or graduation.
Candidates have to show computer as a subject in 10th/12th or graduation marksheets.Or else they should have a certificate of basic computer course or DCA as it is known.

You not just have computer as a subject but you are a computer science graduate.You should not worry about all these with your qualifications. Prepare well and qualify.You do not need any additional certificate of computer education.

No, DCA is not necessary for bank PO exam after completion of B.Sc in Computer Science.

Only those candidates who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university are eligible for Bank PO exam.

Your age should not be less than 20 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is 3 years for OBCs and 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.

Examination pattern for Bank PO:-

Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability - 50 questions for 50 marks each
English Language and General Awareness - 40 questions for 40 marks each
Computer Knowledge/ Awareness - 20 questions for 20 marks
