Hi Sir, My sister has secured 75.75% marks in best 4 subjects and got 75% in History. She is willing to pursue History (Hons). Please let me know whether she is eligible to pursue this course in DU or not?

Yes, she is eligible to pursue History (Honors) course in Delhi University.

The minimum academic criteria required to pursue History (Honors) is that the candidate must have passed class 12 examination with an aggregate of 55% marks from a recognized board of education.

The candidate has to appear for Delhi university entrance examination. And the final selection will be decided by the Delhi university examination authority board.

Eligibility Criteria required to pursue History (Hons) in Delhi University:

For Economics, Geography, English, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Sanskrit and Linguists disciplines:

>> The merit list shall be determined at par one language and three best elective subjects.

Educational qualification: Student must possess at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

Selection Procedure: The students are admitted on the basis of merit list. The merit list shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best elective subjects.
