Re: Eligibility criteria for Lateral entry in Engineering Colleges?
Eligibility Criteria required to join Engineering Colleges though Lateral Entry Scheme:
>> Lateral Entry Scheme itself says that Candidates join Colleges/ university through lateral entry i.e., Late joining. >> To be eligible for joining Engineering Colleges through Lateral Scheme is, "Diploma Program in Engineering or Architecture" from an AICTE approved institute in the concerned stream. >> You are required to clear the Entrance Examination for getting admission into Engineering Colleges. The best All India Entrance Examination I would suggest you is "JEE (Joint Engineering Entrance Examination)". >> Candidates who ever completes their Diploma Program from an AICTE approved college with minimum 45% marks (for General and OBC category candidates) or 40% marks (for SC/ ST Category Candidates). >> After clearing JEE Entrance Examination, you may get admission to 2nd year of 4 year B.Tech/ Engineering or 5 year Architecture program through lateral entry scheme. |
