How can I prepare to crack CLAT being a 11th PCM student?


Hello Everyone,
I have just cleared my 10th. I want to clear CLAT after my 12th. Also I am taking PCM in my 11th. So how can I prepare for CLAT from now? Please suggest me.

Tips to Prepare for CLAT Entrance Exam:
  • Go through the Daily and Employment newspaper regularly.
  • Try to Improve your vocabulary .
  • Improve your reading habits (start reading novel) to improve reading speed.
  • Understand legal theories.
  • Solve previous year question papers.

# CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test.

# Chanakya National Law University, Patna conducted Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) in collaboration with followings 16 National Law Universities in order to make admission for undergraduate, law courses:

* Damodaran Sanjivayya National Law University, Viskhapatnam
* The West Bengal National University of Judicial Sciences, Kolkata
* National Law University, Jodhpur
* Tamil Nadu National Law School
* Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur
* National Law University and Judicial Academy, Guwahati
* National Law University, Cuttack
* Dr. Ram Monohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow
* National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi

# Followings are the preparation tips for aspirants of CLAT:

* Candidate should make special study on current affairs and all legal updates.
* Regular and periodic practice of previous question papers as well as model question papers.
* Only sever hard work and dedication towards study is key to success.
* Candidate should study the subjects with deep concentration and with strong basic concepts.
* Refer the books suggested by the teachers, seniors or coaching institutes.
* Time management is most crucial. Allot your available time as a way that your current school level studies and the self-preparation for CLAT should not suffer. Allot available evenly to each and every section as per your strengths and weakness.
* You should be fully familiar with the prescribed with syllabus of CLAT.
* Don't hesitate in joining any reputed coaching institute in the event of difficulty in self-study. Note that coaching institutes provides valuable guidance, standard study material and experienced teaching faculty.

# Required educational qualification:

* Must be 10+2 in any stream.
* Must have taken minimum 45% marks by candidate of General category.
* Must have taken minimum 40% marks by candidate of reserved categories.

# Required minimum age (as on 01.07.2016) for CLAT for undergraduate courses is as follows:

* Must be below the age of 20 years for the General category candidate.
* Must be below the age of 22 years for the reserved category candidate.
* Must be below the age of 22 years for the physically handicapped candidate.

# Important details regarding written examination of CLAT:

* There will be objective type written test with multiple choices.
* Question paper includes total 200 questions carrying total 200 marks.
* There is provision of negative marking @ 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
* The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and there will be MCQ type.

# Distribution of marks in written examination:

* Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions carrying 20 marks)
* Reasoning Ability (40 questions carrying 40 marks)
* General Knowledge and General Studies (50 questions carrying 50 marks)
* English language (40 questions carrying 40 marks)
* Legal Aptitude (50 questions carrying 50 marks)
