Having completed D.pharm you are eligible for joining in Armed forces and there are entrance exams which are conducted all over India to join in these forces. You are satisfying the needed educational qualification for applying for posts. You can apply for entrance exams such as CDS (Combined Defence Serice), UES(University Entry Scheme).

Eligibility Needed:

For UES:

> Candidate appearing for the exam must be a citizen of India

> Only unmarried male candidate are eligible for the UES Exam.

> The age limit for the exam is that the candidate must have 19-25 years of age.

> The education qualification for the exam is, candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university.Even final year candidates can apply for the exam

For CDS:

> Candidate should have citizenship in India

> Age limit needed for IMA is 19-24 years.

> For Navy it is 19-22 years, for IAF it is 19-23 years and for OTA it is 19-25 years.

> Educational qualification needed is, candidate should have completed degree from a recognized university in any stream of education.


If you satisfy all the criteria's for the respected exam, then you can apply for it.

Armed forces medical services(AFMS) organization function directly under ministry of defence.
Government of india provide health care and servicing armed forces personnel,their families exservicesmen and then families are entitled to free treatment.
AFMS consisting of the armed medical corps(AMC) for MBBS doctors,the army dental corps(ADC) for BDS dentists and the military nursing service(MNS) for B.sc(nursing female) candidates.
Eligibility :
you must be a registered pharmacist of the state pharmacy council after completing B.pharmacy or diploma from a recognized college by pharmacy council of India.

Yes, you can join Indian Army after completion of your D.Pharma course;

In order to join Indian Armed forces, you will have to apply for examinations like NDA or CDS.

Eligibility for both the entrance examinations are mentioned below.


Eligibility for NDA examination:

> You should be a citizen of India

> You should be unmarried

> Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this examination

> You should have completed your +2 examination from any stream and from a recognised University

> Your age should be in between 16.5-19 years

> You should be physically fit


CDS(Combined Defence Service):

> CDS exam is also conducted by UPSC

> CDS examination is held twice a year

> Admission process is done through written, GDD(Group Discussion) and Interview round

Eligibility for CDS examination:

> You should be a citizen of India

. You should be unmarried

> Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this examination

> You should have completed your +2 examination from any stream and from a recognised University

Candidate as you have done D.Pharma and want to join Indian defence forces then you can apply for the CDS(Combined Defence Services) Exam which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year namely CDS I and CDS II.

ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY FOR CDS EXAM:-

>> Candidate must have done graduation from govt. recognised institute.

>> Candidate age must be in between 19 to 25 years.

>> Candidate must be Indian citizen.

>> Candidate must be unmarried.

>> Candidate must be physically and medically fit.

>> Both male and female candidate are allowed to apply.

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR CDS EXAM:- Three steps of selection:-

1). Written exam:- Based on physics,Chemistry,General Knowledge,Mathematics.

2). SSB Interview:- Candidate who have cleared written exam called for SSB interview.

3). Medical exam:- To check that candidate must be medically fit.

You have to go through in INDIAN ARMY through CDS exam conducted by UPSC. As lots of candidate are preparing for this exam, one need right guidance and coaching to go through in first attempt. You can takr coaching or self study by taking study material of KD Education Dwarka, New Delhi. As material contains good stuff for crack UPSC CDS exam in one go.

Requirements in army : post : sepoy 'D' Pharma.
Age limit: 19 to 25 years.
Education qualification: 10+2 and qualified in D Pharma with minimum 55% in aggregate and registered with state pharmacy Council of India.
B.pharma with minimum 50% and registered with state pharmacy Council of India.
Written test through common entrance examination (CEE)
Medical test.
