I am a science student with PCM and I want to do fashion designing. So, after completing my 12th, what should I do for fashion designing course and to pass out entrance exams?

Candidates from any stream are eligible to join fashion designing course. After completing 12th with PCM, you can opt for bachelor's degree course in fashion designing. You have to appear for entrance examination at first and some of the common entrance examinations are : NIFT Entrance Test, NID Entrance Test, CEED etc. After qualifying the examination you can get admission in fashion designing colleges.

Procedure to get admission in Fashion Designing Course:-

You must have completed your 10th with at least 50% marks.

There is no criteria for subjects, so you can apply for B F.D. course even if you are from any stream ( either science or Non- science )

You can also apply for B.F.D. entrance exam, even if you are appearing for Plus two board exams in the same year.

To apply for Bachelor in fashion designing course, you will have to apply for an entrance exam.

After qualifying entrance exam, you will be called for a personal interview.

However you must have a good fluency in English to qualify interview scheme.

Fashion designing course is a creative and artistic course aims to combine creative minds with technical proficiency. A person is eligible after 10+2 with 50% of pass marks in any stream to pursue Fashion Designing course, the course should be done from a recognized institution or board. There are no such entrance exams for the course, you need to get in contact with any reputed institution to pursue the course.

In order to get admission in Fashion Designing course, you should appear for AIEED, FDE, etc. and then after clearing the examination you can get admission in Fashion designing course in any good college to continue with your studies further.

You can apply for NIFT entrance exam for admission in fashion desgining course. You already have a class 12th qualification to become eligible for this exam.

Admission will be on the basis of performance in the entrance exam and seats are allotted based on the rank.

If you want to take admission in fashion designing then you must have Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 .It is a very advancing field and offers a good career opportunities. There are very few good universities and institutes which are offering courses in fashion designing are Lovely Professional University, National Institute of Fashion and Technology and few others.

If you want to pursue your career in Fashion Designing then the basic eligibility criteria for the enrolling into Fashion Designing after 12th standard is that you should have clear passed your 12th with 50% aggregate marks.
The different courses in which you can enroll yourself are B.Sc (Design - Fashion) which is total of 3 years and the other option is that you can do B.Design Fashion which is total of 4 years.
If you want to pursue the Fashion Designing after the 10th standard then you can enroll yourself into diploma program like Diploma in Styling and Grooming and Diploma in Fashion, both of these diplomas programs are of total of 1 year. Even for doing Diploma also you should have at least scored 50% marks in 10th standard.
Therefore I would like to mention that there are few known private institutions like Pearl Academy, Lovely Professional University,Symbiosis Institute of Design that offers top class learning environment to the students with extensive placement opportunities. These universities also offer various skill development programs, professional enhancement training and outstanding exposure to its students.

First you have to give Entrance exam.
After scoring good marks and good rank,you will definitely get Admission in Fashion designing

CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay for admissions in Master of Design & PhD programmes. NID provides admission for UG and PG courses in design. NIFT provides UG and PG courses in design field. LIST of some other entrance exams-

For all the exams you need to practice Quantative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and English. Prepare for GD also. You will get admission according to your rank.
