Scope of B.Sc Physical Science(General) after 12th standard?
I have got admission in B.sc physical science in a very good DU college. I have also got the option of doing b.tech from Dehradun Institute of Technology. I am pretty confused and can't seem to decide what to choose. The drawback of doing b.tech is that the college is pretty far from where i live and travelling will waste a lot of precious time and i wont be left with any time to study. On the other hand the DU college is not much far and is a very reputed college..but i dont know if the course im getting is good enough? Please guide.

Re: Scope of B.Sc Physical Science(General) after 12th standard?
First of all don't be confused as both the courses has it's own importance in their respective fields.
You can go for either of the two, but as you have mentioned that the B.Tech College is quite far away from your place and much time of your's will be wasted if you take admission over there, so in this case if you are getting admission in DU for B.Sc Physical Science, then you can go for it, as the course and the Institute both can prove to be a boon for you in future. However, below I am mentioning the Scopes of B.Sc Physical Science, please have a look at it; B.Sc in Physical science enables students for career in Physical Science such as Physics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetic, Mechanics and Kinetics. You could explore courses in Management, Teaching, Research, Finance/Banking, Media, Corporate Communications, Retail, Hospitality, etc. For higher studies you can opt for; M.Sc in Physical science, Biophysics, Chemical Physics, Radio Physics, Astrophysics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Environmental Science, etc. M.Sc followed by a B.Ed will enable you to teach at the high school level. M.Sc Physical sciences students are also eligible for pursuing M.Tech (in a host of engineering/technology disciplines including Aeronautical, Chemical, Automobile, Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or Computer Science at leading institutions including the IITs after clearing the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). Following are some suitable jobs for you after completion of you B.Sc course; .Assistant Physical Scientist .Astronaut .Hydrologist .Material Scientist .Nurse .Physician .College professor in the sciences .Environmental Scientist .Geoscientist .Science teacher .Scientist .Senior Scientist .Physicist .Quality Manager .Astronomer .Atmospheric Scientist .Chemist .Technician .Technical Assistant .Technical Officer You can get jobs in following areas: .Agricultural Research Services .Astronomy .Aviation Industry .Colleges / Universities .Indian Civil Services .Indian Forest Services .Laboratories .Power Generating Companies .Pyrotechnics Manufacturers .Construction Firms .Cryptography .Demolition Squads .Education Sector .Engineering Firms .Hospitals .Research and Development Firms .Schools .Technical Journals, etc. |
