I want to know the syllabus and question pattern of CLAT
And also suggest me some books for my preparation.

CLAT i.e Common Law Admission Test is conducted by National Law Universities for admission to L.L.B & L.L.M courses. This year notification has already released. To apply for Undergraduate, applicant should have completed Higher Secondary School from a recognized school or equivalent qualification. Applicant must have secured at least 45% marks for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved categories.

Pattern of CLAT (Undergraduate):

-> English Including Comprehension - 40 Marks
-> General knowledge and Current Affairs - 50 Marks
-> Elementary Mathematics - 20 Marks
-> Legal Aptitude - 50 Marks
-> Logical Reasoning - 40 Marks

Note: Negative marks will be applicable for every wrong answer.

To apply for Post-Graduate, applicant should have completed LLB/five year integrated LLB or equivalent degree qualification from a recognized university. Applicant must have secured at least 55% marks for general candidates and 50% marks for reserved categories.

Pattern of CLAT (Post-Graduate):

-> Constitutional Law - 50 Marks
-> Jurisprudence - 50 Marks
-> Other law subjects such as Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, Family Law , Property Law, IPR etc.- 50 Marks

Note: Negative marks will be applicable for every wrong answer.

1. English - Comprehension passages, Grammar, Omissions/corrections, Fill in the Blanks, Incorrect sentences, Spotting error etc..,

2. Legal Aptitude - Study of Law, problem solving ability and Legal Prepositions.

3. Logical Reasoning - Patterns, Analogies, sequences, Visual Reasoning, Syllogisms etc..,

4. Elementary Mathematics - profit & Loss, Percentages, Problems on ages, HCF & LCM, Simple Interest and Compound Interest.

5. GK and Current Affairs - Culture, History, Sports, News, Inventions etc..,

For PG courses:
