What are the different ways to improve English speaking skills at home.
I do not want to join spoken English classes.
I want to learn English at home.

The ways to improve English speaking skills at home are given below.

--> You can watch English movies with subtitles.

--> You can immerse yourself in English language news.

--> You can start a vocabulary book of useful words.

--> You can do self-talk, think in English and retell a story in English.

--> You can use an App to talk to native speakers online in the comfort of your own home.

--> You can read News which is available online like Times Now, Hindustan Times and many more.

You can do this if you are determined and have patience as good speaking skills can't be achieved in a day or a week, it will take few months.

Ways to improve :-

Start reading English day.

Try to have conversation with your family and friends in English even if you are not confident or feeling nervousness.

You can also practice speaking infront of the mirror to overcome your issue of fear of speaking in public ( glossophobia ).

You can do this if you are determined and have patience as good speaking skills can't be achieved in a day or a week, it will take few months.

Watch the English movies and read the English newspaper, this will help you to learn the new words of English and then you can speak English confidently.

✓ Practise the 4 core skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
✓ Read English Newspaper daily minimum 20 minutes.
✓ Keep a notebook of new words you learn.
✓ Do a lesson at least once a day.

I'm Md Ariful Hasan, an English Teacher with 10 years of experience. In the long run of learning English to be skilled, I went through some strategies that were pretty much similar to home study.

1) I made a calendar with short term goals and long term goals.
2) I created an environment at my home that I could be touched with only the English language. (Books, Music, Drama everything in English)
3) I used online apps to talk to different people around the world
4) I read some storybooks with text and audio.
