Re: Whether a BA graduate can be a Revenue Officer?
If you want to become a Revenue Officer under Central Government of India then you should not worry about your qualification because there are some ways to become a Revenue Officer and Assistant that are following :
UPSC Civil Service Examination - First you appear for Civil Service Prelims and Main Examination and qualify the interview process then you may get the job of Revenue Officer because after qualifying prelims you will be offered to choose the priority sector then you may select Indian Revenue Services so that is the way. To appear for Civil Service exam you just need to have a degree in any discipline and age should not be more than 30 years. Through SSC - Staff Selection Commission - CGL Exam - Combined Graduate Level Exam : When you apply for SSC CGL exam then you should choose revenue department and qualify both prelims and main exam then interview so you may become Assistant Information Officer in revenue department and this exam does not required any special degree. You should have passed a degree in any stream and age should not be more than 27 years. Thank You |

Re: Whether a BA graduate can be a Revenue Officer?
Yes definitely you can apply for Revenue Officer exam as, Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is the minimum educational requirement for it.
For Revenue Officer post Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC every year and you have to fulfil the eligibility criteria like Graduation and age criteria. The age limit for Civil Services exam is 21 to 30 years for General Category candidate. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for physically handicapped candidates. The selection will be based on the CSAT, Mains and Interview. So, be prepared for the exam which is conducted by UPSC which is a central government body. There are state level public service commission exams for revenue officers too, for which you can apply being a Graduate. Hence, you can also apply for your state level public service commission revenue officer exam. |
