Which is a better option working in a software company or doing internship training in well established mechanical core company for 1 year?


I am pursuing my mechanical engineering course. Right now I an in 7th semester(2014 pass out). I am willing to do ms in Germany in the next year(2015). Till now my aggregate is 75.5%. If I get placed in a core mechanical company now it is okay for me. Otherwise which is a better option working in a software company or doing internship training in well established mechanical core company for 1 year. Will year gap affect my profile if I choose internship program.

Am a mechanical engineer. I just gone through 6 months of Infosys training and am in my last chance now. I hereby got an offer from core company. I find the last test which I have to take here is quite easy to me. But, I am in dilemma whether to stay here or leave for core job after this 6 months of training here.

Note:

1. If I pass this training I have to work here for another one year.

2. Am not passionate about core or IT. I will adopt to any job which I am in.

Please help me in taking a wise decision.
