There are various organizations which offer training cum internship for Mechanical Engineering students. You should do your summer training cum internship in core domain. You can do training in :-

- Public Sector Units
- Power plants like TATA Power, Jindal Power
- Steel Plants like Tata Steel, Jindal Steel
- Indian Railways

Options like TATA Power, Tata Steel are the best among the above organizations. They give excellent exposure and sometimes give PPO (pre placement offer) on account of good performance.
