I am pursuing M.com and I want to do Phd in economics. Am I eligible to apply for phd in economics with M.com degree? And I want to appear for ugc net for economics. Am I eligible to apply for ugc net for economics with my M.com degree?

Yes, you can, but not all the universities in India accept M .Com for PhD. In Economics. The University of Hyderabad and a few other universities take M.Com degree for Ph.D. in Economics.

Am I eligible to apply for PhD in economics with M.Com degree?

1. The candidate should have done their MA/MSc in Economics with a specialisation or MPhil in Economics from a recognised University and should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate.

2. The duration of the course is 3 to 4 years.
